Norrin J. Powell and Kevin L. Smith would like to WELCOME any and all who read their novels and visit this site into the World of CHTHON. This genre of people with super powers and abilities/space faring individuals and species is one that's been near and dear to our hearts for all of our lives. We've all watched as it began in small stages, having almost cult followings, and then flourishing throughout the years until now where it nearly saturates all forms of media. We see it on TV, Movies, Comic Books, Novels, Graphic Novels, TV Commercials, Magazines, Websites, Podcasts, and pretty much every other medium imaginable. There are conventions, clubs, small meeting groups, and so much more. It's truly an exciting time in which we live to see this beloved genre expand in such a way.

          Norrin and Kevin are proud and honored to be able to play a part in this world of Superheroes and Sci-Fi; creating a universe that couples those two genres in what we believe to be quality storytelling. We hope that you, the reader, will join us on this journey through the intricacies and complexities of the world we've created; at some points laughing and thrilled with excitement and at others holding on for dear life.           In welcoming you to the official website devoted to all that relates to "The Chronicles of CHTHON", we know you're probably wondering, "What in the world is CHTHON?" Especially when you discover that its not even mentioned in the series first released book, "The Genesis of CHTHON". So what gives?

          Translated from Greek, the word CHTHON literally means Earth, or of Earth, soil, or ground. So, it stands to reason that the first in this series, "The Genesis of CHTHON," would sort of translate to Earth's beginning,...or a beginning or pivitol point in Earth's history. At least that's what I'm trying to convey as the author.

          As we move forward and branch out into future novels in our series, "Destiny's Wildest Dream," and "Conflict for the Soldiers of CHTHON," this idea or concept of CHTHON will be defined even further, perhaps in ways that stray from its initial beginnings. However, we promise that whether you agree with our interpretations, or develop ones of your own, you will be thoroughly entertained and, what's more, at times even surprised by the stories' outcome.

          It's our fervent wish, that our readers enjoy The CHTHON Chronicles as much as I've enjoyed writing them. You'll finish one book and be anxiously waiting for the next,...but, don't worry,...it's coming!
